IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2024: Important updates have emerged regarding the Twenty20 World Cup starting from 1 June 2024. The World Cup will be organized jointly by the West Indies and America. The India-Pakistan match will be held in New York on June 9. There will be 55 matches in 9 different cities in the Twenty20 World Cup 2024. Now the last date for the announcement of the team for this tournament has been revealed.
T20 World Cup 20 Qualified teams
America, West Indies, Australia, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, Canada, Nepal, Oman, Namibia and Uganda.
Teams will be in four groups
A – India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, America
B – England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman
C – New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea
D – South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
Format of T-20
- 20 teams
- Divide into four groups of 5 each
- The top two teams from all four groups qualify for the Super 8.
- In Super 8, teams will be divided into two groups of 4-4.
- The top two teams from both groups in the semi-finals

Matches like India vs Pakistan and India vs Canada have become gold dust, disappearing during official sales and reappearing on resale platforms like StubHub and SeatGeek at huge prices.
These tickets are being offered at least double their original cost, with some exceeding their starting prices by a staggering margin.
India vs Pakistan VIP seats touching $50,000
For example, VIP tickets for the India vs Pakistan ICC T20 World Cup match on the official website are priced at $400 (INR 33 thousand) (excluding taxes). However, on resale platforms, the same seats are listed for a staggering $40,000 (INR 33 lakh), with platform fees bringing the total to close to $50,000 (INR 41 lakh) – a price comparable to courtside NBA Finals tickets!
Important Updates
- All teams have to announce their squad for the World Cup by May 1.
- The announced team can be changed till May 25
- Each team will be able to select only 15 players
All teams will have to play at least 2 warm-up matches after entering the host countries for the tournament.
