Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan accused Army Chief General Asim Munir of conspiring to jail his wife Bushra Bibi on corruption charges. He claimed that the judge who convicted him was forced to take the decision by implicating the army chief in the judicial process.

Threat against Army Chief:

Asim Munir

Khan threatened and said, if anything happens to my wife, I will not leave Asim Munir, as long as I am alive I will not leave Asim Munir. I will expose their unconstitutional and illegal steps.

Khan said there is law of the jungle in the country and everything is being done by the “king of the jungle”.

He alleged, whenever the king of the jungle wants, he forgives all the cases of Nawaz Sharif and whenever he wants, he punishes us in three cases in five days.

Khan also said that the economy will be stabilized not by International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan but by investment.

He said, jungle law will not bring investment in the country. It is good that Saudi Arabia is coming but investment will come only when there is rule of law in the country.

Criticism of the regime:

Imran Khan criticized the current state of governance in Pakistan, comparing it to “jungle law” where arbitrary decisions are taken by those in power. And he highlighted inequities in the treatment of political opponents as well as accused individuals like Nawaz Sharif of being given preferential treatment, while himself and his party PTI faced unfair scrutiny.

Economic Stability and Rule of Law:

Amidst his criticism, Khan stressed the importance of economic stability and rule of law to attract investment into the country. He criticized reliance on loans from international institutions such as the IMF, instead advocating a favorable climate for investment through the establishment of the rule of law and fair governance practices.

Alleged police brutality:

Khan referred to a recent incident of alleged police brutality by the Army in Punjab and condemned the actions of officials resorting to violence against law enforcement officials. He condemned the treatment of police officers as indicative of a system where power prevails over justice, stressing the need for accountability and respect for the rule of law.

call to action:

Imran Khan urged his party members and supporters to stand up against the harassment, calling it a form of jihad. He stressed the importance of protecting democratic principles and ensuring the integrity of the electoral process, especially amid allegations of interference in by-elections.

conclusion, Imran Khan’s allegations against the Army Chief and his threats of retaliatory action have sparked controversy and raised questions on the interrelationship of politics and military in Pakistan. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the authorities will react to Khan’s allegations and whether they will affect the country’s political landscape.
