Hyundai Motor India has launched its mid-size electric SUV Creta EV at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the company’s cheapest EV. Its price goes up to Rs 23.99 lakh in the top variant. The company claims that the Creta ev will run up to 473km on a full charge and it can achieve a speed of 0 to 100kmph in just 7.9 seconds. Apart from this, it will get 52 standard safety features including Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Hyundai Creta EV Exterior
Hyundai has kept the design of the Creta EV similar to the regular Creta SUV. Its front has connected LED daytime running lights (DRL’s), vertical dual-pod LED headlights like the regular Creta. In between them is a pixelated grille with small cubes, with a charging port in the centre below the Hyundai logo. There are 4 retractable air vents on the lower grille, which will keep the electric motor and battery components cool. The EV does not have front fog lamps and silver skid plates.
On the sides of the car, there are 17-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic design, which are similar to the Tata Nexon EV. The silver window applique found in the Creta regular model has been replaced with a black finish in it. It also gets a silver skid plate on the side. The rear gets a connected LED taillight, which is similar to the regular Creta. It also gets a black trim below the boot gate, a new design bumper with pixel element and a silver skid plate.

The dashboard layout of the Hyundai Creta Electric is quite similar to its petrol/diesel versions. With dual digital displays and physical knobs to control the essential functions, the dashboard looks quite modern, although there are some differences here as this is the electric version of the Creta.
It gets a new steering wheel with a drive selector inside the new steering column. The lower center console has also been redesigned and now houses the drive mode selector, cup holders and a switch for the electronic parking brake. The dashboard of the electric Creta has been given a black and white finish and it also has purple ambient lighting, while the regular model gets a grey and white colour theme with amber lighting.
Hyundai Creta EV Performance
Hyundai Creta EV has a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor for performance, with which three driving modes are available – Eco, Normal and Sport. The company claims that the car can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 7.9 seconds.
To power the electric motor, the EV will be offered with two battery pack options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The company claims that the car will run 473 km on a full charge with a 51.4kWh battery pack and 390 km with a 42kWh battery pack. The Creta EV will take 58 minutes to charge from 10 to 80% using a DC fast charger, while using an 11kW AC wall box charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 100% in four hours.
Hyundai Creta EV Features
The feature list of the Hyundai Creta Electric is almost similar to the regular model. Features like 10.25-inch digital driver display and touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple Car-Play, connected car technology, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, powered driver seat and 8-speaker Bose sound system will be provided.
Apart from this, some new comfort features have also been given in Creta EV like in-car payment service, where you can pay for the charging of the vehicle from the infotainment screen itself. It also has a digital key, with which you can lock/unlock your car from the smartphone itself. The EV will get features like dual camera dashcam, vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, drive modes, three-point seat belt at the rear, adjustable rear headrest, 60:40 split rear bench and 2-step recliner seat.
For safety, the car will be equipped with 6 airbags (standard) and 360-degree camera along with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, which will include safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. It is equipped with regenerative braking which, with the help of radar, reduces the speed of the vehicle according to the distance of the vehicle ahead.
Apart from this, features like Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system and an electronic parking brake with auto hold, front and rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child anchor seats will also be available.

The price of the electric version of Hyundai Creta EV starts at Rs 17 lakh 99 thousand (ex-showroom), at this price you will get the base variant of this vehicle. At the same time, the top model of this electric SUV is Rs 23 lakh 49 thousand 900 (ex-showroom).
