Hyundai Motor India is going to present its new Creta Electric at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17. Its photos and other details have also been revealed before the launch. It looks like a great SUV in terms of design and features. Its clean design may appeal to Indian customers. Everyone is waiting for the launch of the new Creta Electric but just before the launch, its price has been leaked.
Hyundai Creta EV Price
According to media reports, Hyundai’s COO has given a hint about the price of the upcoming Creta Electric. He said that the price of Creta Electric can be between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. But this is our guess. That the company can launch it at a starting price of Rs 15.99 lakh. Its real competition will be from Tata Curve ev. Not only this, it will also face tough competition from Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Let’s know the features of the new Creta Electric.
Hyundai Creta EV Design
At first glance, the new Hyundai Creta Electric looks unchanged compared to its dino-burning siblings. However, once you take a closer look, you will notice a slew of new details. Talking about the front design, the Hyundai logo plays the role of a gatekeeper on the flap. For this, the charging cable can be easily stored in the small frunk area under the bonnet.
The pixelated design can also be seen on the angular front bumper, which looks like it has been pinched from the Creta N Line. This pixelated section of the front bumper is also where you get active aero flaps that open up when the electrical gubbins that power the SUV need some extra cooling.
The significant design change comes in the form of new 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels that are shod with low rolling-resistance tyres to enhance range. At the rear, the Creta Electric looks largely unchanged except for the Electric badging on the tailgate and the pixelated section on the rear bumper.

The infotainment screen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allows access to Hyundai’s BlueLink-connected car suite and can be used to make in-car payments for charging. The infotainment display on the Creta Electric is paired to a Bose 8-speaker premium sound system. Controls for the dual-zone climate control and sound system can be found floating below the central air vents and have a number of capacitive buttons. Below this control panel are USB A and C ports, as well as a 12V charging port and wireless phone charger.
The dual-tone seats and upholstery are also quite familiar. However, the Creta Electric gets blue piping that runs between the seats to let occupants know that they are in an electric version of the Hyundai SUV. The seats of the Creta Electric are as comfortable as ever, with ventilation features making them easy to use. The front seats are electrically adjustable, with the driver’s seat getting two seat memory options, making it easy to find and save your perfect driving position.
Like the Creta IC, the rear seats too have ample head, leg and knee room and can accommodate three occupants. However, the middle seat misses out on an adjustable headrest, which we feel Hyundai shouldn’t have done. The huge sunroof makes the Creta Electric cabin quite spacious and ventilated. The EV version of the Hyundai Creta gets digital key, cooled glovebox, cooled storage under the front armrest, Vehicle 2 Load (V2L) which allows you to use the Creta electric as a giant power bank And there are other features like a new 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for the infotainment system.
Hyundai Creta EV Range
The new Hyundai Creta Electric will be offered with two battery packs. The 51.4kWh unit has a claimed range of 473km and the 42kWh unit has a range of 390km. An 11kW home charger will be optional, which will charge the battery from 10-80 percent in four hours. Apart from this, the battery can be charged from 10-80 percent in 58 minutes using a DC fast charger. 10 colors and four variants will be available for this car.
