Farmers are the major part of India yet their financial health is not stable. Government has launched several schemes to help them and provide a stable source of income to procure agriculture-related inputs. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is one just scheme that gives a fixed amount of money to farmers on annual basis.
On 1st January 2022, the 10th installment of this scheme was released and till now more than 1.6 Lakh rupees have been credited to the account of beneficiaries. Farmers listed under the scheme can get every update of their payment and check status whenever they wish.

How Can I Check My PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Installment Status?

• First go to the official website which is www.pmkisan.gov.in from your web browser on the device
• There is a farmer’s corner at the right side of the screen. It has several options like new farmer registration, beneficiary status, download PM Kisan app, etc…
• Choose the Beneficiary status option
• A new page will open where you will have to enter the Aadhar number. You can also choose the second option i.e. account number to check the status
• Fill in the details and select Check Data given next to the tab
• The current status of your PM Kisan Samman Nidhi installment will appear on the screen
• You can also download it for further requirement

Who Is Eligible For The Scheme?
The scheme is created only for landholding farmers of India whereas the institutional landholders are out of the eligibility criteria.
Moreover, those whose family members belong to a constitutional post or work in central or state government organizations are not eligible. The other categories of farmers who don’t fit for the PM kisan scheme are:
• Serving and retired officers excluding those working as Group D employees, Class IV or in multitasking staff
• Beneficiaries having taxable income cannot take the advantage of this scheme
• Doctors, engineers, CAs, and others registered with the professional organizations are also out of this scheme

Farmers will get the support of Rs 6000 yearly under this scheme. However, one has to register first and get verified to fit into the eligibility criteria. Registration is done online on the official website of the government and requires only aadhaar and mobile number.
Merely registration doesn’t ensure that you will get financial support from the government. Farmers have to provide land record details and caste certificates to become eligible. After the verification process, the beneficiary will receive a sum of Rs 2000 in three installments. All the money will be directly transferred to the account.
