Honor has barely wrapped up the Magic 8 RSR and Magic 8 Air launches in China, and already the spotlight has shifted to its next big statement device, the Honor Magic V6. If fresh leaks are to be believed, this foldable flagship is not a distant dream. It’s almost here.

According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor Magic V6 is internally codenamed Phenom and is tentatively scheduled to debut around March 2026. That timeline lines up neatly with Honor’s confirmed presence at MWC Barcelona, where the brand is expected to tease, if not fully unveil, it's first foldable of 2026.

For a company that has been quietly outpacing rivals in battery tech and form factor engineering, the Magic V6 could be Honor’s most aggressive foldable yet.

Honor Magic V6 launch timeline

Leaks suggest Honor is sticking to a tight schedule this year. If the Honor Magic V6 does launch in March, official teasers should start appearing by mid to late February.

That’s important because Honor doesn’t usually rush its foldables. The Magic V5 launched in July last year, making a March debut for the V6 a clear acceleration. To me, this signals confidence, Honor believes it has something disruptive in hand.

There’s also chatter that the device could be showcased at MWC 2026 on March 1, alongside other experimental hardware. While the tipster has since deleted the post, the timeline still feels realistic given certification sightings and component leaks.

Honor Magic V6 design and colors

Design-wise, Honor isn’t playing it safe. The Honor Magic V6 is expected to arrive in four color options are as follows:

  • Snow White
  • Velvet Black
  • Sunrise Gold
  • Red Hare (also referred to as Red Rabbit)

These shades echo the Magic V5 lineup but are rumored to feature updated textures and patterns. The foldable will reportedly use a thinner and lighter fiberglass body, offering better durability, improved wireless charging performance and a premium textured finish.

This is a smart move. Foldables don’t need gimmicky redesigns, they need refinement. And Honor seems focused on exactly that.

Honor Magic V6 specifications

This is where the Honor Magic V6 starts to look seriously dangerous.

A recent 3C certification in China has effectively confirmed a 7,000mAh battery, split across dual cells. Typical capacity could go up to around 7,150mAh, potentially making it the largest battery ever seen in a foldable phone.

Other leaked highlights are listed below:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
  • 200MP primary rear camera
  • Periscope telephoto lens
  • 50W wireless charging
  • Full-level water resistance
  • BeiDou satellite communication

If even 80% of this holds true, Honor isn’t just competing with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Oppo Find N6, it’s challenging the entire category’s assumptions about battery life and performance.

Honor Magic V6 vs Magic V5

To put things into perspective, the Magic V5 launched at 8,999 yuan (approx. Rs 1,18,620) and offered:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
  • 6,100mAh battery
  • 8.8mm slim body
  • 219g weight
  • 50W wireless charging

The Honor Magic V6 builds directly on that foundation, pushing battery capacity far beyond what Samsung and Oppo currently offer. That’s not a small upgrade, it’s a statement.

I’ll say this bluntly: battery anxiety is the biggest unresolved issue with foldables. Honor seems to be the only brand attacking it head-on.

Honor Magic V6 feels like Honor’s 2026 power play

While Honor hasn’t officially confirmed specs yet, the writing is on the wall. The Honor Magic V6 is shaping up to be a battery-first, performance-heavy foldable that prioritizes real-world usability over flashy demos.

Yes, leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt. But between certifications, consistent tipster reports and Honor’s recent strategy, this one feels different. It feels ready.

If Honor executes this launch right, the Magic V6 could redefine what buyers expect from a premium foldable in 2026 and force competitors to play catch-up.

Stay tuned. This story is just getting started.
