Standing at the global stage representing the nation is itself the biggest responsibility but with this comes the pressure too. The pressure of not making mistakes and to win at the Miss Universe 2021 stage is ‘N’ times huge. But Harnaaz Sandhu knew how to handle it well; maybe that’s why her answer in the final Q-A round impressed the judges a lot.
She was sharing the stage with Lalela Mswane(South Africa) and Nadia Ferreira (Paraguay) and all three were asked the same question. Her answer is what everyone needs to hear.

Question- What advice would you give young women who are watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?
Harnaaz Sandhu beautifully and confidently answers this. She said, ‘I think the biggest pressure the youth today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique and that is what makes you beautiful, stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk about more important things that’s happening worldwide. I think this is what you need to understand. Come out and speak for yourself because you are the leader of your life, you are the voice of your own.”

The prestigious beauty pageant was held at Israel’s Port of Eilat. Harnaaz now joins Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta in the league and became the third woman from India to get the title.
