On Thursday, Google services went down, including Gmail, YouTube, and Google Drive, and were not accessible for many users in India. Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a series of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform, has also confirmed that Google services have been hit.

Downdetector tweeted that user reports indicate Googl e is having problems since 11:22 a.m. IST, Gmail has been having problems since 11:22 a.m. IST, and Youtube has been having problems since 11:19 a.m. IST.

Goog le has revealed that it will allow users to engage with generative AI in an early experiment using its ChatGPT rival, “Bard.”
