NPCI International Payments (NIPL), the wing of NPCI, has partnered with French e-commerce and payments provider Lyra to launch UPI. Under this, UPI payments will be made throughout France. It has been started from the Eiffel Tower. Expressing happiness over the launch of UPI in France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this will prove to be an important step towards making UPI global.
