The director of the Pyaar ka Punchnama series and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luv Ranjan is now coming with another youthful theme Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. The movie is set to storm theatres on 8th March 2023 on the occasion of Holi. Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will be sharing the screen.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Luv along with Ranbir Kapoor revealed his upcoming release and also about his future projects.

After the immense success of Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, the expectations of the audience from director Luv are very high. When he was asked about his thoughts regarding the series for the same, he said, “Every year, we fear something or the other, and every time, we develop a safety tool. When franchise films releases, everyone hops onto the bandwagon of making franchises and once a couple of franchise films crash, people are quick to deduce that franchise films are not working. As a society, we are so result-centric that all our decisions are based on how the last one was received.”
Agreeing with his words, Ranbir Kapoor said that he never made a movie based on the style of movies that were popular at the time or followed a trend. He also said that as long as spectators are entertained, there is nothing wrong with a director basing their strategy on the types of movies that are successful.
In response to the second part of the question, Luv stated that he hasn’t given it (the thought of taking Pyaar Ka Punchnama’s franchise forward)a definite vision. And he never knows when he will make the third part of the same.

The movie starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is releasing tomorrow the 8th of March. The movie has already created a lot of hype even before its release. The song, “Pyaar Hota Kai Baar Hai” has received an overwhelming response from the audience. Also, the advance booking for the tickets reveals that the movie could be the second hit after Pathan.
