Apart from India, Canada also celebrated the Guruparb on Monday and Canadian MP Bardish Chagger had organized a live interaction via Facebook to mark the 551st birth anniversary of the first Guru of Sikhs.

Canadian PM also joined the event and during the interaction, he shared his concerns over the present condition of farmers in India.

The external affairs ministry of India said that his comments on farmer’s protests are unwarranted. Anurag Srivastava, the spokesperson of external affairs further said, “It is also best that diplomatic conversations are not misrepresented for political purposes.”

Justin Trudeau is one of the first global leaders who has commented on the struggle of farmers during the protest. However, his comments are not seen as favorable for both the countries especially when the two countries are working on restoring normalcy in their bilateral issues.
