Cristiano Ronaldo sets a new world record during the qualifying match of World Cup 2022. The last two goals against Ireland in the Group A match pushed his total goals to 111. With this, Portugal Captain and player of Manchester United become the highest goal scorer in the world.

The team won the match by 2-1. Portugal now sits at the top of the World Cup table with 10 points followed by Serbia. On the other hand, Ireland finishes with the second last position in the table.
