New strain of coronavirus that has been first spotted in UK has now reached to India. Health Ministry has officially confirmed that 6 new cases with coronavirus strain has been identified in passengers who returned from UK.

Those positive patients have been kept in isolation and their close contacts are put to quarantine. On this, Health Ministry has said that, "situation is under careful watch and regular advice is being provided to the states for enhanced surveillance, containment, testing and dispatch of samples to INSACOG labs."
The samples are sent for genome sequencing. All the details of returnees are send to Bureau of Immigration.
Only details of those with travel history between 25 November to 20 December has been shared and are under surveillance. Other than India, the new strain has already reached to different corners of the world.
It has been reported in France, Sweden, Italy, Australia, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Lebanon, and Spain.
