Corona Curfew Not Lockdown In Bhopal For 7 Days

Lockdown has been imposed in several districts of Madhya Pradesh but the decision on Bhopal was given to the district collector. Till evening there was ambiguity whether Bhopal will face full lockdown or not as two containment areas were already sealed.

With the rise of covid cases reaching 824, the MP government has decided to impose lockdown again. The state capital will undergo covid restrictions from Monday 9 pm to 19th April till 6 a.m. Calling it a covid curfew, the government has given permission for home delivery of groceries, milk, and vegetable vendors. Banks and petrol stations will remain open for the public during this week-long restriction.

The state has witnessed more than 6 thousand cases within 24 hours and 37 deaths taking the state’s covid rate to 16 percent.

Condition of Indore which is the second most infected district, around 923 new cases have been reported within a day. The count is 497 for Gwalior, and 469 for Jabalpur. Indore is already under corona curfew with some ease in essential services. Gwalior which is the third most infected district of MP is also under lockdown till 19th April.

Seeing the current situation of the state, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan summoned the ministers for a meeting on Monday after which decisions were taken.
