Netflix and web series are the future of the entertainment industry and during the lockdown, they have been a shoulder for the audience as well as the industry.
Now, they have been nominated at the global platform like International Emmys as well. One such web series that made a place in the nomination list was Delhi Crime.
Yesterday, the award was announced and Delhi Crime bagged the title of Best Drama Series. It was a big surprise for the entire team and the film industry as well.
Celebs like Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, and Vicky Kaushal has celebrated the success of Richie Mehta’s Delhi Crime on Twitter.

Richie Mehta’s Web series Delhi Crime is based on the 2012 gang rape that happened in Delhi. Shefali Shah played the role of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi who was given the responsibility to find the culprits of the gang rape.
Other actors of the web series were Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, and more. The first season had only 7 episodes and was released on Netflix in March 2019.
The first season was a great success not only in India but also abroad. Thus, fans are eagerly waiting for the second season of the series with the hope that the same cast would be in the sequel.
However, Richie Mehta won’t be its part and season 2 is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar. He has worked as an assistant director in Bollywood movies like 3 Idiots, Munnabhai, and ‘Ventilator,’ Marathi Film.
The Delhi Crime Season 2 is about to launch and supposed to released by the end of this year.
