Stranger Things Season 5: The story traces its way back to the 1980s, in a small fictional town in Hawkins, Indiana. Though this classic tale hit our screens in 2016, and ever since, it has been released, it has become a heartthrobbing sci-fi thriller globally, with its nostalgic 80s setting and the mysteries of supernatural forces, it rules millions of hearts with its storyline.

Stranger Things Season 5: The Crawl — A Terrifying Beginning

A TERRIFYING BEGINNING: THE CRAWL - The fifth season begins with the discovery of Will Bryers, who is caught and infected by Vecna. Vecna infects Will with a thrashing tentacle that leaves him restless in the awe of entirely possessing him. On the other hand, Hawkins has transformed into a militarised zone led by Dr. Kay and Lt. Aters, where the military has quarantined the town and built a base camp within the Upside Down where Eleven trains in secret with Hooper and Joyce.

While Dustin continues to honour Eddie’s memory, that provokes the Hawkins’ school basketball team. Steve, Robin, Nancy, and Jonathan transmit coded radio messages to coordinate what they call ‘crawls’ to get an opportunity to sneak Hooper into the Upside Down with the mission to find out where Vecna is hiding. But a twist occurs as Demogorgon attacks Hooper, pushing him deeper into the supernatural world, although Will telepathically witnesses the attack as well as Demogorgon entering Holly’s room.

Another mystery unfolds: The vanishing of Holly Wheeler

The Demogorgon abducts Holly and also injures her parents, Karen and Ted. Here, Eleven, on her way to follow Demogorgon, finds out Hooper, who was pushed deeply into the Upside Down, and now they are on their way together to find Holly.

On the other hand, Jonathan accused Steve as he was trying to woo Nancy again, and amidst their conversation of accusation, Dustin, in blood-stained clothes, rejoins them, while Lucas was still dedicated to caring for Max, who was in a coma. In between all this chaos, a shocking revelation happens that Mr Whatsit, Holly’s friend, is involved in the abduction of Holly, and Mr Whatsit is none other than Vecna’s human form under the pseudo name of Henry Creel. 

A trap getting unwrapped: Setting the Turnbow trap

Vecna now targets the classmates of Holly and bullies Derek Turnbow. While Hooper and Elena, after interrogating Lt. Aters, figure out that Dr Kay is hiding Vecna at the base. Then, the trap plan is set with the help of Derek Turnbow as they use Derek for luring and implanting a tracker in Demogorgon to locate Holly.

This plan is set by Will, Nancy and Mike, who thought to play the same trapping game as Vecna did to lure Holly. The plan fails in execution when Derek wakes up early, and Demogorgon comes to know about it. At the other side of the episodic coin, Holly inquisitively finds the place she is trapped in, that is, Henry’s home and encounters Max, who has been trapped by Vecna in a coma.

The attack on/of evils: Sorcerer 

Max informs Holly that they are trapped in Vecna’s memory, named Camazotz. While Hooper and Eleven now target to kill Vecna by attacking the military base through defeating the soldiers deployed, and confronting Dr Kay. There, they find Kali, who is another survivor of the Hawkins lab subject.

While Demogorgon attacks Will’s group as they chase into the Upside Down and rescue the other targeted children but suddenly Demogorgon and Vecna burst out in between and abduct them, including Derek.

Will, through the help of his psychic abilities, saves Mike, Lucas, and Robin from being killed by Demogorgon. Before the episode ends, in the climax, Vecna reveals that she’ll use them as perfect vessels to shape the world.

Stranger Things Season 5 Breaks Netflix Records

Within the span of just the first five days after the release of the fifth season of Stranger Things, this web series has crossed more than 59 million views on the OTT platform. This achievement breaks the Netflix Viewership Record and sets a new milestone of views. This web series breaks its own records for each season and sets a new one.

The fifth season was at No.1 with 59.6 million views, followed by the first season at No.3 with 8.9 million views, followed by the fourth season at No.5 with 6.1 million views, followed by the second season at No.6 with 5.6 million views and the third season at No.8 with 4.6 million views.

Stranger Things Season 5 Volume I Cliffhanger Drives Theatre Demand

Stranger Things season 5 is ranked amongst the top 10 in a total of 93 countries, resulting in reaching No.1 in 90 of them, according to Netflix. And definitely India is one of them. As we all know, the storyline of this thrilling sci-fi web series, no wonder why the craze is so hyped up.
