Buxar Farmers have been outraged against the construction of a power plant in Buxar. Buxar Farmers are angry over the land acquisition caused by the Powerplant industry. The incident has raged and led to outbursts and rebellions have started arson over the matter.
Buxar Power Plant: Bihar Farmers Protest
The rage later caused an extensive outrage that led to very vigilant activities. The Buxar farmers also attacked policemen with sticks. The police were sent to the incident to manage the angry people but it backfired soon after, leading to tragedy later on.

The farmers have been protesting for 85 days. The farmers locked the plant’s main gate on Tuesdays and sat on a dharna. At that time the police did nothing, but at night the police entered Banarpur village and beat them. 4 persons were arrested.
A person over there made a video of the incident. People’s anger erupted on Wednesday morning in protest against the excesses of police. The villagers reached the plant with sticks and attacked it.

Buxar Power Plant
The Buxar Thermal Power Plant is a coal-based thermal power plant located at Chausa village in Buxar district, Bihar, India. The powerplant will generate enough electricity to circulate it to the nearby villages in Bihar.

However, the land acquisition has concerned Buxar farmers. The plant requires land of around 309 farmers and many more farmers are concerned about the future demand of the land. The land acquisition will include these villages: Mahadeva, Madhopur, Akhoripur Gola, Baghelwa, Bechanpurwa and Mohanpurwa, Banarpur, Salarpur, Mahuwari, Hussainpur, Kathgharwa, Khemrajpur, Chausa, Nyayipur, Dharmagatpur.
