Apple To Introduce A New AI-Powered Health Coaching Service

Apple

One of the most well-known wearables on the market, the Apple Watch has a number of health features like electrocardiogram (ECG) readings, fall detection, and heart rate tracking.

The Apple Watch is capable of tracking activity levels, calories burnt, and sleep patterns thanks to its sophisticated sensors and algorithms. The watch also comes with the Breathe app, which leads users through deep breathing exercises to help them relax and reduce stress.

The gadget is an effective tool for people wishing to monitor and enhance their general health and wellness because it also has a variety of third-party health and fitness apps.

The company is already a step ahead of the competition when it comes to providing digital health coaching services with programmes like Fitness+ and products like the Watch.

Apple is hopping on the AI bandwagon much like every other major company but in a different way. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg recently reported that Apple is developing a health counselling service that uses AI.

It is said that the programme, code-named Quartz, encourages users to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is rumoured to come with a built-in version of the AI-powered health coaching service. The health coach service is supposed to have a cost in the form of a monthly subscription, similar to the Fitness+ service.

It is still unknown whether this service produces AI-based results using cloud servers or on-device processing power.

Gurman claims that Apple has accelerated the development of this project by bringing in a lot of talent from the Siri and AI teams. The service could debut as early as 2024, based on the present schedule.

The Launch

However, the launch can be delayed by a year or two if there are any obstacles. Additionally, the corporation is rumoured to be developing additional fitness-focused capabilities to monitor emotions and record the user’s mood. At WWDC 2023, Apple is rumoured to also release a brand-new health app for the iPad.

The new software, which is anticipated to launch with iPadOS 17, is believed to be optimised for analysing various health-related data on a wide screen.
