On Tuesday, two saints were found murdered in Pagona village of Uttar Pradesh, after a few days of the merciless lynching of two sadhus in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The dead bodies of two saints were found inside a village temple. The news of this incident spread when the village locals found dead bodies of 55-year-old Sadhu Jagandas and 35-year-old Sadhu Sevadas inside the temple and informed the police.

Police have arrested a man who is responsible for this brutal murder. “The accused killed the two sadhus following an altercation over stealing their ‘chimta’ (tongs) a few days back,” police said.
Bulandshahr SSP Santosh Kumar Singh said,
“Preliminary investigation has found that a few days ago, the accused snatched tongs from sadhus, after which they scolded him. Angered by this, the accused killed them both.”

As per police, a man used a sharp weapon to kill the sadhus. The SSP added that the matter is under investigation.
