If you were wondering whether Xiaomi still takes tablets seriously, the latest Geekbench listing answers that loud and clear. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro global variant has now surfaced on Geekbench, and the numbers leave little room for doubt, this is a full-blown flagship tablet, not a half-hearted international release.

Earlier this month, the same device appeared on the UAE’s TDRA certification database with the model number 25091RP04G. Geekbench now adds real substance to that sighting, confirming key hardware details and strongly hinting that a global launch is no longer far away.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Performance

According to the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro global model runs on Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This is the same 3nm processor used in the Chinese version and in several 2025-2026 flagship devices.

The benchmark scores speak for themselves:

  • Single-core: 2,940
  • Multi-core: 8,759
  • OpenCL (GPU): 17,657

These results are nearly identical to the Chinese variant reviewed late last year, which means global users won’t be getting a watered-down version. In plain terms, this tablet is powerful enough for heavy multitasking, console-grade gaming, and even 4K video editing.

The listing also confirms 8GB of RAM and Android 16, likely running Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 on top.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Display and Design

While Geekbench focuses on performance, Xiaomi’s Chinese specifications give us a very clear idea of what the global model will offer, and there’s little reason to complain.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro features an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD display with a resolution of 3200 × 2136 and a productivity-friendly 3:2 aspect ratio. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and up to 800 nits brightness.

There’s also a Matte Edition using AG nano-texture etching that cuts glare dramatically. That’s a rare, premium touch in the Android tablet space and one that creatives will genuinely appreciate.

At just 5.8mm thickness and under 500 grams, the tablet looks as sleek as it sounds.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Battery and Camera Details

Powering the tablet is a 9,200mAh battery with 67W fast charging, which is excellent for a device this thin. Xiaomi claims all-day usage, and based on past performance, that sounds realistic.

Camera hardware is solid for a tablet:

  • 50MP rear camera (Samsung JN1)
  • 32MP front camera, ideal for video calls and online meetings

Connectivity is another strong point. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C 3.2, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, and even an IR blaster. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which I personally prefer over under-display solutions on tablets.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Global Launch

Xiaomi hasn’t officially announced a global launch date yet, but the signs are hard to ignore. A recent European retailer leak suggests the Xiaomi 17 smartphone series is close to an international debut. Historically, Xiaomi has launched its flagship tablets alongside its premium phones, and this time should be no different.

Xiaomi knows the Android tablet market is heating up again, especially with productivity-focused users tired of overpriced alternatives. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro feels like a statement device, one that says Xiaomi wants to dominate this segment globally, not just in China.

If pricing stays close to the Chinese starting point (around EUR 340), this tablet could seriously disrupt the premium tablet space.

For now, the Geekbench leak confirms one thing beyond doubt: the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is coming, and it’s coming in full flagship form.
