Social media is an addiction. Agree or not, it’s a harsh reality. A day without Whatsapp, Facebook, and Instagram is like a day without sun…for most users. But parents would be happy (I guess so) because all they want is “Aag Lage Is Mobile Me”. Not Mobile but Whatsapp ban may happen soon if anytime fight between Government and Whatsapp take a serious turn.
The battle is all about user’s privacy which users don’t even care about. If restriction over Whatsapp is the only option, there should not be any opposition because privacy truly matters. However, that’s not even a question.
The real one is- Do we really need Whatsapp?
Maybe NO! Several countries have banned Whatsapp in their territory. China is obviously the first one to restrict Facebook and Whatsapp for its citizen but there are 5 more in support.
Have a look below!
List Of Countries Where Whatsapp Is Banned
#1. No Whatsapp In UAE

The only reason besides security is promoting the country’s telecom sector and earn decent revenue from it. However, the high prices of state-controlled telecommunication services are the reason why the Government is working on uplifting the ban.

North Korea is one of the few countries that do not believe in democracy. So, the ban on Whatsapp is no surprise here and the reason is no different other than Government’s intention to keep the country secure.
No foreign media is allowed in the country thus the world gets very limited information about N. Korea. However, this is not the case with the second part of Korea. Whatsapp is completely accessible in South Korea.
