Indian male cricketers like Virat Kohli, Tendulkar, Dhoni, and many new players are gaining limelight for achieving milestones and breaking records. But, female cricketers of the country are not behind especially Mithali Raj who is an ace batsman and captain of the Indian women’s team.
On Friday, in the match against South Africa, she has added another feather in her cap by scoring 10,000 runs and became the first woman cricketer from India to do so.
Mithali On The Edge Of Making History In International Cricket
Now, she is very close to making history in international women’s cricket. If she managed to score 299 runs more in the international match then she will become the highest run-getter beating England’s, Charlotte Edwards.
New Zealand’s Suzie Bates is ranking 3rd in this list with 7849 scores in 247 matches. West Indies Stafanie Taylor and Australia’s Meg Lanning are the other two in the list. England’s Charlotte Edwards is leading with a total of 10273 runs and played only 309 matches till now.
