Vrindavan ISKCON Temple Sealed Ahead Of Janmashtami, Know Why?

Ahead of the big Hindu festival Janmashtami or Gokulashtami celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna the famous ISKCON temple has been sealed.

Janmashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha or new moon phase. The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) holds a grand celebration in on this occasion but this year the circumstances are different.

The Vrindavan’s ISKCON temple has been sealed on Tuesday after 22 people including the priest have tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Official said:

“Movement of people has been restricted and the temple has been sealed,”

Janmashtami is a celebration marked for the birthday of Lord Krishna. He was born on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha or the new moon phase of Bhadrapada (August-September).
