Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Spotted Testing in India: ADAS, Features & Launch Timeline

Volkswagen company is continuously increasing its portfolio of vehicles in India. The company is constantly launching its new cars. Recently the company launched Volkswagen Golf GTI and Volkswagen Taigun R-Line and now the company is preparing to bring an updated version of its popular SUV Taigun. This vehicle has recently been seen during testing, in whose pictures it was seen covered on its front and rear parts. There is a lot of discussion about this car now. What Will the New Volkswagen Taigun Look Like?

The vehicle seen during testing shows that there will not be much change in it from outside. However, it is expected that new grille, updated headlights and bumper can be seen in its front part. The side look and overall size of the vehicle will remain the same as before, but new colors and alloy wheels can be seen in it. Like the current model, it will have C-shaped LED tail lights, a horizontal light strip, integrated spoiler, roof rails.

Interior and Tech Features: Major Updates Incoming

Talking about the interior, major changes are expected in the inside of the car. According to reports, many new features and technology will be added to the Volkswagen Taigun, which will also include Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).

Features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning can be found in the car. The pictures also revealed that this model will not have a panoramic sunroof.

Engine and Transmission Options

The new Volkswagen Taigun will get the same engines as the current model. 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque. 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. It will have the same 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic and 7-speed DSG gearbox options as before. However, there are rumours that an 8-speed automatic gearbox can also be offered in it later.

When will the new Volkswagen Taigun be launched?

The new Volkswagen Taigun is expected to be launched in India by early 2026 or by the middle of the year. Along with Volkswagen, Skoda is also testing the facelift version of its Kushaq.
