The United States National Men’s Soccer team won the title of the National League in a stunning Victory against Mexico 2-0 in Arlington, Texas for a third consecutive title. The final league champions’ heroes are Reyna and Adams of the USMNT, whose goal led to the extended victory against Mexico.
The Americans made the record third winning streak, as they National league Title 2024. They previously won the title against Mexico in 2021 and took the title in 2023 after winning the trophy against Canada with a 2-0 win in 2023, that time they beat Mexico in the semi-final match.
It is the hard-earned victory against the USA, after being second away from losing to Jamaica in the Semifinals. This victory of the USA made it unbeatable against Mexico for consecutive seven matches.
This victory means a lot for the USA as they make a record.
USMNT Tyler Adams and Gio Reyna Are The Players of the Game Tonight
The midfielder for the US Men’s National Soccer Team made a strong comeback in the final match, he was on the field for 45 minutes. He is coming off two surgeries on his hamstrings.
The match was a highly tight end as both the teams moved towards a scoreless interval. But Adams got the opportunity in the center of the field and fired a 30-yard flat-footed goal toward the Mexican Goalkeepers Memo Ochoa.
Despite this goal, the tension was mounting at the stadium as the USA wanted to win the match against Mexico, approximately 60,00 crowds were rooting for Mexico despite most of them being the USA.
Reyna, who came off the bench on the Wednesday Semi-finals match, where assist the Haji Wright in the match against Jamaica, where they won the match with 3-1.
Reyna changed the game as the Mexican Captain Christians Pulisic started the play when he danced past the El Tri defender on the end line. The ball bounced around the penalty area before being cleared but only as far as Reyna just inside the top of the area and it gave a chance to Reyna to hit the goal towards the Mexico goal post.
The USA team breathed a sigh of relief after the goal, as it cleared the cloud of uncertainty for them.
Reyna said “I told Christian to play it quick, and he did, “He obviously did very well to beat his guy and get the cross in. And then I just saw the space at the top of the box, maybe it would drop there, and I just anticipated it and volleyed it.”
The pro-Mexican crowd made homophobic chants against the US goalkicks.
Now What is Next for USMNT?
The USA won the National League football match. Now they are preparing for the late May match. They are Pre-Copa America friendly matches. The first is against Colombia in Landover, Maryland on June 8 and another is against the 5-time World Cup Champion Brazil, in Orlando, Florida.
They are now taking time and now begin to prepare for the Copa America Cup.
