US Open 2021 Winner Daniil Medvedev Apologizes After Novak Bursts In Anger

The 25-year old US Open 2021 winner, Daniil Medvedev, has apologized to World No.1 Novak Djokovic. He also apologized to his fans saying “Sorry for your fans and Novak because we all know what he was going for.”

Novak expressed his frustration of losing against 25-year old Daniil. He broke his racquet in anger on the court. The Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev defeated Novak by a consecutive 6-4 win in the four rounds of the game.

It was the biggest loss for the 34-year old player as the victory could bring him the title of
Calendar-year Grand Slam. He continuously won Australian Open, Wimbledon, and French Open this year.

Sunday was even more special for Daniil Medvedev as it was his wedding anniversary. He revealed it post-match saying he had no alternative except winning the watch as he had no time to find a present.

It was his third Grand Slam event of US open winner. In earlier events, he lost against Nadal and Djokovic in the finals.
