TVS introduced The World’s First CNG Scooter ‘Jupiter CNG’ at The Auto Expo

At the India Mobility Global Expo 2025, the country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motors has surprised everyone by introducing the world’s first CNG scooter. The company has introduced the concept model of its new ‘Jupiter CNG’ scooter at this motor show. This is the first scooter that comes with a company fitted CNG kit. So let’s know what is its specialty?

According to reports, regarding the mileage of this CNG scooter, the company claims that this scooter will offer a mileage of up to 84 km in one kilogram of CNG. Once the tank is full, this scooter will run for a total of 226 km. This scooter has an OBD2B compliant engine which generates 5.3bhp of power and 9.4Nm of torque.

TVS Jupiter is available in both petrol and CNG

TVS Jupiter 125 has the option of bi-fuel along with CNG. It has a 2-liter tank for petrol and a 1.4-kilogram cylinder for filling CNG. The CNG tank is fitted under the seat. To change the bike from CNG to petrol mode, you just have to press a button. Earlier, Bajaj had launched a CNG bike named Bajaj Freedom 125.

So Jupiter 125 CNG has LED headlight, mobile charging port, all-in-one lock and side stand indicator. It has a semi-digital instrument console with multiple key readouts. Its engine comes with TVS’s patented Eco-Thrust fuel-injection and Intelligo technology. The Jupiter 125 CNG features a metal-max body. TVS says it has the largest seat in the 125-cc category.

TVS has not yet announced the launch date of Jupiter 125 CNG. However, according to sources, TVS can launch this scooter in the market at the end of the year. Apart from its CNG scooter, TVS also unveiled the ethanol-powered Raider 125, iQube Vision Concept and Apache RTSX Concept at the expo.

The price of the petrol variant of TVS Jupiter currently ranges from Rs 88,174 (ex-showroom) to Rs 99,015 (ex-showroom). In such a situation, it is expected that the price of the CNG scooter can be from Rs 90 thousand (ex-showroom) to Rs 99 thousand (ex-showroom). Well, the information related to the price is just speculation at the moment, it remains to be seen whether this CNG scooter is launched at a price less than Rs 1 lakh
