On Monday, Sheezan Khan’s lawyer and his sisters made new allegations in the Tunisha Sharma suicide case. They said that Tunisha and her mother did not have a good relationship and that during one incident, her mother even attempted to strangle her. The lawyer also stated that Tunisha’s uncle, Sanjeev Kaushal, was a source of anxiety for her, though the nature of their relationship is unclear.

During a press conference organised by Sheezan Khan’s sisters, Falaq and Shafaq Naaz, his lawyer presented new information about the case. He stated that Tunisha was allegedly abused and dominated by her uncle and mother and that she had confided in friends and colleagues about these incidents. The lawyer suggested that these experiences may have contributed to Tunisha’s decision to take her own life.

Sheezan Khan’s lawyer stated that Tunisha had refused to go to Chandigarh with her uncle Sanjeev Kaushal and her mother Vanita Sharma a few days before the lockdown. He also mentioned that Tunisha Sharma would have panic attacks whenever Sanjeev’s name was mentioned and that it is unclear what their relationship was or Sanjeev may have been controlling the family’s finances or dominating Tunisha. These allegations suggest that there may have been additional issues or tensions in Tunisha’s family that could have contributed to her mental state and eventual suicide.
