Toyota has launched the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella as an electric SUV. This is the first electric (BEV) SUV offered by the manufacturer in India. Toyota has taken a big step forward in India’s fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) space with the global unveiling of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, an all-electric compact SUV that promises a claimed driving range of up to 543 km on a single charge. With this move, Toyota is clearly setting its sights on one of the most talked-about upcoming electric SUVs in the segment, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara.
The Urban Cruiser Ebella marks Toyota’s intent to strengthen its EV portfolio while focusing on practicality, range, and everyday usability, which are key expectations of Indian car buyers.

Toyota has introduced the bZ4X EV with two battery options, offering 49 kWh and 61 kWh variants. With the large battery the SUV delivers 543 kilometers on a single charge. Powering the SUV is an electric motor that produces 106 and 128 kW of power and 189 Newton meters of torque.

Toyota has started bookings for the Urban Cruise Ebella across India.
The customer can book the SUV by paying a booking amount of ₹25000.
However, the industry expectations indicate that, based on battery packs and variants, the price of Toyota can be around ₹18 lakh to ₹25 lakh.
