The festive season is on and the great Indian festival Diwali is approaching. We not only clean our homes but get all decked up in pretty dresses and killer looks. To get a perfect Instagram picture, not just your outfit should be perfect but your skin should too.

Diwali brings a lot of stress of cleaning and cooking, your skin might lose its charm. Now don’t book an appointment in your parlour instead you can try these homemade masks which are really effective and will give you the radiant glow you need on Diwali or any other occasion.

1. Bananas For Blemishes

Banana is a great ingredient that will help effectively in fading out your dark spots. Bananas have Vitamin A that will help in dark spot reduction and Vitamin E will help in reducing the dryness of your skin. Fruits are really effective for your skin reducing your wrinkles and giving a good glow.

Take a medium-sized banana, mash it up, add two tablespoons of yoghurt and some honey to it. Apply it all over your face and neck, keep it for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. Fruits have great healing properties. They also keep your skin hydrated and adding all goodness to your skin.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar For Toning

We all know how effective is apple cider vinegar for our health. It helps in improving metabolism and cuts down the fat. It is equally helpful for your skin.

Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with two glass of water. You can store it and apply it as a toner on your washed clean face.

3. Oatmeal Mask

Oats are rich in fibre and are very beneficial for your body. Oats have the scrubbing properties as well, but here we will be making an oatmeal mask yo get the super soft, smooth and glowing skin.

Take a half cup of oatmeal and put it in hot water, let the water and oats settle down. After that add 2 tablespoons of yoghurt and honey and one egg white to the mixture. Apply a thin layer on your face and wash with cold water after 15 min.

4. Yoghurt Mask

Yoghurt has great conditioning properties for your body, skin and hair. Take 2 tablespoons of yoghurt, mix 1/4 slice of orab]nge juice and one tablespoon of aloe gel. You can leave the mask on your face for 5-10 mins and then rinse it off. This will help in skin brightening and smoothening.

5. Mustard Seeds Mask

Mustard seeds have great antibacterial properties due to the presence of sulphur in it. It helps in healing the inflammation, acne, germs or any infections on your skin. You can grind the seeds and mix it with milk or yoghurt. Keep it on your face and wash it with lukewarm water. Do try a patch test to avoid any allergy or redness on your skin.

6. Lemon Mask

We know lemon has great skin brightening properties. It has both AHA’s and BHA’s that remove the layer of dead skin from your face making it soft and glowing.

You can try this mask in two ways. Take one lemon juice and mix it with 1/4 tablespoon of olive oil and sweet almond oil. You can also mix the lemon juice with honey and apply it on your face. Lemon might irritate your skin a bit.
