Tata Curvv Unveiled: First Coupe-Style SUV in India with ICE and EV Versions

Making a new beginning in the world of Indian SUV design, the country's leading vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors has today officially introduced its new Tata Curvv. The company has unveiled the ICE (petrol-diesel) and electric (EV) versions of Tata Curv.

Let us tell you that this is the country's first coupe-style SUV and at present there is no direct competitor of this SUV in the market. The company has just displayed it, it will be officially launched for sale on 7 August 2024. Its prices will also be announced at the same time.

According to the information received from Tata Motors, the company will first launch the Tata Curvv EV i.e. electric version. After this, the prices of its petrol-diesel (ICE) version will be revealed. This SUV, designed in coupe style with a sporty silhouette, is very special in many ways. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, said,

"Tata Motors has pioneered the Indian SUV sector. Moreover, we have repeatedly made our strong presence felt in this segment through new designs. Models like the original Sierra, Safari, Nexon, Punch and Harrier are proof of this. Carrying forward this legacy and to further strengthen our SUV portfolio, we have once again introduced the country's first coupe-style SUV in the form of Tata Curvv."

How will the features of Tata Curvv?

According to reports, the Tata Curvv EV will have a dashboard similar to Nexon, Safari and Harrier. It will have a 12-inch Harman Kardon infotainment system. With this, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity will be available. The SUV will get support for more than 15 OTT apps. For audio, it will have a JBL system. Features like 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, 360 degree camera, electronic parking brake, auto hold, disc brakes on all four wheels, iRA connected tech, Level 2 ADAS will be available in the SUV.

Powertrain: The company is also offering Tata Curve in petrol-diesel and electric versions. The company claims that its electric version will give the best in-class driving range. However, no information has been officially shared about its engine mechanism yet. But it is believed that the company will launch this SUV in the market with 1.2-litre petrol (125 PS power and 225 Nm torque) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (115 PS power and 260 Nm torque).

How is the cabin: Tata Motors says that Tata Curv is practically designed for the Indian family who likes to go out for long drives. Curv comes with a modern and modern interior with its SUV coupe design. Its premium appeal has been emphasized and first-in-class technology and features have been included in the cabin. It will also get a panoramic sunroof as well as better boot space to meet the needs of the customers.

How much will be the price of Tata Curvv

The official information about the price of the SUV will be given by the company at the time of launch. But it is expected that the ex-showroom price of its electric version can be between Rs 18 to 25 lakh.
