The trend of #BoycottBollywood started after the sudden death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In the last two years, lots of Bollywood films have faced massive backlash during this.
Even some of them became box office disasters such as Lal Singh Chadda, Shamshera, Liger, etc. And now, the Boycott Gang is behind Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathaan.
So on Thursday, Former Bollywood superstar Suniel Shetty urges Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, to stop the trend of boycotting Bollywood on social media and address the animosity towards the Hindi film industry.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath attended a film industry event in Mumbai on Thursday. During the event, he met with several film personalities including Suniel Shetty, Subhash Ghai, Jackie Shroff, Rajkumar Santoshi, Manmohan Shetty, and Boney Kapoor.

The agenda of this meeting was to talk about investment and shooting prospects in Noida Film City. So, Suniel Shetty took the opportunity to ask for help from UP CM.
He said “I want to talk about this hashtag that’s going on — ‘Boycott Bollywood’. It can stop if you say something about it. We are doing good work.”
“It pains me to see this stigma. Ninety-nine per cent of the people here are good. So, please Yogi ji, take the lead and talk to our prime minister about erasing this stigma.”
The actor added, “We have to join hands and try and get rid of the ‘Boycott Bollywood’ trend and make people understand that most people in the industry are good. We don’t do drugs, we don’t harm others.
“I request you to be the person to abolish the stigma. This industry is responsible for connecting India to the world, especially when it comes to music. You’re a very big name, sir. If you talk about it, people will listen.”

He means they take drugs at night n still do bad things. Indirectly he is trying to say whole Bollywood nexcus involved in bad things like Mürdër, Drugs, Nudity & so on.
