Snapchat Has Launched Its Own Chatbot, Know How To Access

Snapchat has launched its own chatbot called "My AI" which uses the latest version of OpenAI's generative text tool, ChatGPT. Only subscribers of Snapchat+ can use the chatbot, and they pay $3.99 per month to gain access to exclusive and experimental features.

The chatbot can recommend gift ideas, plan trips, suggest recipes, and even write haikus. However, Snapchat has cautioned that the chatbot can be tricked into saying almost anything and is prone to hallucination.

The company has advised users not to share secrets with the chatbot and not to rely on it for advice. The user discussions will be recorded and reviewed by the company to increase accuracy.

Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel has said that the chatbot will eventually be accessible to all 750 million monthly users of Snapchat. At present, "My AI" is only a mobile-friendly version of ChatGPT inside Snapchat.

The chatbot has been designed to follow the company's trust and safety policies and avoid responding with profanity, violence, sexual content, or political viewpoints.

The Idea Behind "My AI"

In an interview with The Verge, Spiegel explained that the big idea behind "My AI" is to talk to AI every day, in addition to talking to friends and family.

He also acknowledged that mistakes may occur despite the chatbot's design to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful, or misleading information. The company's primary goal is to provide a fun and interactive experience for its subscribers.

To access the Snapchat Astrology chatbot, users simply need to search for "Astrology" in the Snapchat search bar. This will bring up the chatbot, which users can then add as a friend by clicking the "Add" button. Once added, users can send a message to the chatbot to get started.

The Snapchat Astrology chatbot offers a range of features, including daily horoscopes, personalized astrology readings, and compatibility readings. Users can also ask the chatbot questions about their zodiac sign or astrology in general.
