PM Modi has put the whole nation under lockdown for the next 21 days to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The decision made by him was very important and necessary to save the people of the country.

The lockdown has taken away the job of many daily wage workers who now have no money and no place to stay as well.

While the government of different nations trying their best, a pandemic in a nation like ours, can not be easily defeated without the help of its residents.

Due to this lockdown, many countries do not have access to one time meals and other necessary facilities. Thus, it becomes the responsibility of the privileged people to help them out.

Aside from Bollywood celebrities, some sport persons are doing their best by donating the fund to the government and helping people fight this pandemic together without sleeping empty stomachs.

Virat Kohli:

Captain Of Indian Cricket Team Virat Kohli has pledged to help and support people by donating to the Prime Minister and Maharashtra’s Chief Minister fund along with his wife, Anushka Sharma.

He took to his twitter made an announcement and wrote:

Anushka and I are pledging our support towards the PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps to ease the pain of our fellow citizens.

2.Ajay Thakur, Joginder Sharma, and Akhil Kumar are performing their duties as policemen at this sensitive period for their nation.

Ajay Thakur- a famous kabaddi champion, Joginder Sharma- the legendary veteran cricketer who bowled last over in T20 world Cup Final in 2007 and Akhil Kumar- Gold medalist in CommonWealth games serving the nation by performing police duties.

Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar has donated Rs 25 Lakh each to PM’s Relief Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fight the #COVID19 pandemic.

Hima Das

Hima Das donated her one month salary to the relief fund in Assam. She took to her Twitter account to share her donation and motivate others to give as well.

Friends, it’s high time to stand together & support people who need us. I am contributing one month of my salary to Assam Govt. in Assam Arogya Nidhi Account made to safeguard the health of people in the wake of Covid-19.

Pv Sindhu

Pv Sindhu also decided to donate Rs 5 lakh each to Telangana Chief Minister And Andhra Pradesh Relief Funds.

Sourav Ganguly

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly pledged to donate rice worth ₹50 lakh to feed the poor living in temporary shelters during the 21-day nation-wide lockdown.
