Saudi Arabia already hosts its own T20 league similar to IPL called ILT20. Saudi Arabia is known for making investments in fantasizing activities and they cheer the world with amazing sporting events as well.

The Gulf country Saudi Araba approaches IPL owners to come up with an idea of launching the World’s richest T20 league. The onboard sponsors of IPL 2023 have a major impact on the cricket leagues across the world.

Saudi Arabia very well recognizes the influence of IPL sponsors and for that, they have approached the IPL owners. The Gulf country is looking forward to investing in cricket after investing in world-famous sports like football, and F1.

Saudi Arabia Seeks ICCs Permission

International Cricket Board (ICC) has also shown interest in letting Saudi Arabia host the World’s richest cricket league. ICC Chairman Greg Barclay stated that Saudi Arabia has great compassion toward investments in sports.

The Gulf country has previously invested in some of the most star-studded sports events like Football and F1. They have also cheered with passion during these events. This excites ICC as well to let Saudi Arabia take part in hosting the richest T20 league.

Saudi Arabia has all the reasons to put their interests as they have some of the most eligible investors in the world. However, they still lack BCCIs support as it has restricted Indian players from playing in any foreign leagues.

Saudi Arabia approaches IPL owners intending to gain their vote for letting Indian players participate in their league. Saudi Arabia very well knows that cricket won’t be interesting at all without the Indian players.

BCCI might relieve Indian players just once and allow them to play in the world’s richest league to be hosted by Saudi Arabia. The country is trying to strengthen its roots for hosting star-studded events and looking forward to organizing more such events in the future.

Saudi Arabia is seeking the attention of the world to become “the apple of everyone’s eye” in the coming years. They are also motivated by United Arab Emirates (UAE) which has already hosted IPL events during the covid outbreak.

UAE even launched its own T20 league after the wide appreciation received after hosting the IPL event. They launched ILT20 last year which has several IPL owners as their stakeholders.
