Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has welcomed Indian tennis star Sania Mirza as a mentor for their women’s team. The team will participate in the WPL 2023 which will begin on March 4, 2023. RCB has already worked hard on developing a great women’s team for WPL 2023. Sania’s presence will make the players perform even better.

RCB’s WPL 2023 Mentor: Sania Mirza 

Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza has been appointed as the mentor of Royal Challengers Bangalore for the inaugural season of WPL 2023. Sania played Australian Open a few weeks ago where she lost the title after losing in the finals. She later announced that it will be her last Australian Open as she might take retirement from tennis until the next time the tournament takes place.

Sania Mirza attended the WPL 2023 ceremony held by RCB where she was announced as a mentor for the women’s team of RCB. The tennis player later said,  “Indian women’s cricket has seen a tectonic shift with the Women’s Premier League, and I am looking forward to being a part of this revolutionary pitch”.

Rajesh V Menon, head and vice president of RCB welcomed Sania Mirza saying that her hard work and passion will encourage our team and she is the perfect role model with her sheer determination. RCB recently bought Indian batsmen Smriti Mandhana for Rs 3.40 crore and Australian All-rounder Ellyse Perry for Rs 1.7 crore.

People especially RCB fans cheered for Sania Mirza. However, a few memes also went viral as Sania being a tennis player is about to mentor a cricket team.
