IMD Issues Severe Heatwave Alerts In These States, Light Rain Likely To Expect In Delhi and UP

“In Delhi, our estimate is that the temperature is expected to remain around 38 degrees Celcius in the coming 2-3 days,” stated Naresh Kumar, senior scientist at IMD Delhi. Following this, it may gradually rise by 1-2 degrees, bringing with it the possibility of light rain tomorrow.

Orange To Heatwave Alert In These States

Odisha received an orange alert on Saturday, and for the next five days, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu received yellow alerts. The weather service said that Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal were hit hard by a heat wave on Saturday.

Midnapore and Bankura reached 44.5 and 44.6 degrees Celsius, respectively, in West Bengal. In a similar vein, the regions of Daltonganj and Jamshedpur in Jharkhand saw maximum temperatures of 43.6 and 43.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Heatwave Alert In Uttar Pradesh

The fact that the highest temperature ever recorded was higher than 40 degrees Celsius in several cities indicates that Uttar Pradesh is rapidly approaching a heatwave. The national weather service has predicted that there will be four to eight heatwave days instead of the usual one to three in April.
