On Wednesday, Priyanka Chopra expressed her admiration for RRR’s cast and crew in an Instagram Story, including actors Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. She also shared photos from a screening of the movie in the US, where she posed with director SS Rajamouli and composer MM Keeravani, and gave a speech on stage.

In addition, earlier in the day, Priyanka had heaped praise on Pakistan’s Oscar 2023 contender Joyland.

At the recent Golden Globe awards, RRR was awarded a trophy which was collected by Kala Bhairava, MM Keeravani and Rahul Sipligunj for their song Naatu Naatu. This was a surprise win over Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, who were also nominated. After the awards, Rihanna was seen expressing her congratulations to the RRR team. SS Rajamouli had the chance to meet not just one, but two of his “gods” recently.
He first met James Cameron in the US, and shared photos of their encounter on Twitter. Later he also got the chance to meet Steven Spielberg at a Hollywood party, and posted pictures of their meet up on Instagram, expressing his excitement with the caption, “I just met GOD!!!”

RRR was bestowed with two accolades at the 28th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards, which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday. The film, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in brief appearances, won the best feature film in a foreign language and the best song awards. In the run-up to the awards, Team RRR had launched an extensive awards campaign in the US following the selection of Pan Nalin’s movie The Last Show as India’s official entry to the 2023 Oscars.
