Srinagar: In Kashmir, Covid-19 call center started yesterday, but within 24 hours, it has fallen prey to fake or prank callers. Within the first 10 hours, 1100 calls have received, and 78 percent of the calls have been found to be fraudulent. On Friday, Emergency Response and Management Center and App are inaugurated by the Deputy Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar. Through which there is a policy to find corona patients as well as provide information and help to corona survivors.

But, most of the callers who call within 24 hours were to check if the number provided by the Governor was working or making calls to pass their time or have fun. People from cities like Mumbai and Delhi also made calls. Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary, the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, tweeted most of the numbers were checking the call center on the first day.

Along with the call center, the Government launched a mobile app that can detect the symptoms of Corona. Through the app, you can get knowledge about the consequences and dangers of not staying at home or getting infected. This will reduce the burden on medical personnel and hospitals.
