PM Modi Will Lay The Foundation For The Epitome Of "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" Today

10th December, Thursday is going to be an important date in the history of India as the PM Narendra Modi will settle the foundation stone for the construction of new Parliament building today.

The ceremony will take place in the afternoon where PM Modi will take part in the Bhoomi Poojan along with the Lok Sabha Speaker, Minister of State and Parliamentary Affairs Minister.

Cabinet ministers, MP, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, and more will be attending the function. After bhoomi poojan, construction of the new building of Parliament will be started.

However, according to the orders of Supreme Court there would be no demolition of existing parliament and construction around it.

The architecture of the new building of the Parliament has been released, here’s the pic:

It would have the capacity of accommodating both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members is expected to build on 64, 500 sqm at the cost of Rs 971 crore.

It will take nearly two years for the project to get completed as per the sources. The government is expecting to begin the parliamentary session by the 75 years of independence. On the other hand, it took 6 years to construct the Council House which is presently the existing parliament.

The Government has given the contract to HCP Design, Planning and Management Private Limited. It would be a four storey building where President, Lok Sabha speaker, MP, Rajya Sabha chairperson, PM, and public will get separate floors.

Moreover, the construction will be done by keeping the Seismic Zone 5 requirements in the mind. The building will also have unique interiors showcasing the rich culture and wide diversity of India. High-end security features would be there with state-of-the-art technologies.

Unlike present building that has circular shape architecture, New building will have triangle shape architecture.

The construction is the part of ” Aatmanirbhar Bharat” as per the release by PMO. Today is the big day for us and everyone is looking for the foundation ceremony which will begin at early afternoon on Thursday.
