PM Modi Telangana Visit: Unveiling Projects Worth ₹13,500 Crores

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a significant journey to Telangana today. This visit marks the initiation of several mega projects, elevating the state’s infrastructure and progress.

  • When and Where: PM Modi is scheduled to reach Mahbubnagar district by 2:15 pm today.
  • Agenda: PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects in essential sectors like road, rail, petroleum, natural gas, and higher education, collectively valued at over ₹13,500 crores.
  • Digital Launch: Using video conferencing, he will also flag off a train service, bringing digital connectivity to the forefront.

  • Foundation Stone: PM Modi will lay the foundation for significant road projects related to the Nagpur-Vijayawada economic corridor.
  • Bharatmala Project: He will inaugurate the road project associated with the Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam corridor developed under this initiative.
  • Details: The principal road projects, part of the Nagpur-Vijayawada economic corridor, include a 108 km long National Highway-163G, a four-lane access-controlled greenfield highway, and a 90 km long four-lane access-controlled greenfield highway. These projects, costing around ₹6,400 crores, will reduce the distance between Warangal and Khammam by 14 km and Khammam and Vijayawada by approximately 27 km.

  • LPG Pipeline: PM Modi will dedicate the ‘Hasan-Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline Project’ to the nation, which has been developed at a cost of approximately ₹2,170 crores. This pipeline ensures a safe, cost-effective, and eco-friendly LPG transportation solution from Karnataka’s Hasan to Cherlapalli (a suburb of Hyderabad).
  • BPCL Petroleum Pipeline: PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the ‘BPCL Multi-Product Petroleum Pipeline’ stretching from Krishnapatnam to Hyderabad (Malkapur), spanning 425 kilometers. This ₹1,940 crore project will provide a secure, swift, efficient, and eco-friendly supply of petroleum products in the region.

  • Jaklair-Krishna New Rail Line: PM Modi will inaugurate the ’37 km Jaklair-Krishna New Rail Line’, developed at a cost exceeding ₹500 crores. This new rail segment will for the first time bring Narayanpet’s backward district areas on the railway map. Furthermore, the train service will connect Telangana’s Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar, Narayanpet districts to Karnataka’s Raichur district, benefiting students, daily commuters, laborers, and local cottage industries.

  • Hyderabad University: The Prime Minister will inaugurate five new buildings at Hyderabad University. This includes the School of Economics, Mathematics and Statistics School, Management Studies School, Lecture Complex-III, and Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication (Annexure). These new structures are a significant leap towards providing enhanced facilities for students and educators.
