The OnePlus 15 is tipped to be the next flagship phone as the successor to the OnePlus 13. Although the key specifications of this phone have already leaked, according to a recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), OnePlus may introduce a new in-house image brand. According to tipster DCS, with the OnePlus 15, the company may introduce a new “independent image brand”. This could mean that OnePlus ends its partnership with Swedish camera brand Hasselblad. This multi-year strategic partnership began in 2021 with the OnePlus 9 series.
Hasselblad had incorporated features such as its colour tuning expertise, Tilt Shift mode, and an advanced Pro mode in OnePlus devices. This feature set has changed over time. But now OnePlus may bring its own technology to the cameras.
An in-house image brand camera could provide better integration with the image processing pipeline as well as avoid licensing fees from Hasselblad. However, only time will tell how much this will benefit users.

- Camera: According to the leak, there is no round camera deco or camera island in the engineering unit of the OnePlus 15, although its final design may be different. At the same time, like its predecessor, the OnePlus 15 can also see a 50MP triple rear camera setup, consisting of a large main camera sensor and a periscope zoom camera. The third sensor could be an ultrawide camera. Tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the phone will have a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, which will be a big upgrade over the 50MP 3x telephoto lens of the OnePlus 13.
- Display: According to DCS, the OnePlus 15 may have a 6.78-inch flat LIPO screen with 1.5K resolution . In comparison, the OnePlus 13 has a taller, slightly curved display with a lower resolution and a different panel type. LIPO, or low-injection pressure over-moulding, is a bezel-reducing technology that Apple is reportedly working on. The OnePlus may have very thin bezels.
- Processor: This flagship phone from OnePlus may launch with Qualcomm’s latest top-end chipset. This chipset may come with the codename SM8850, which may be named Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2.
