- This day came into existence when the Indian Government’s Ministry of Labour & Employment launched a non-profit organization named National Safety Council back on 4th March 1966.
- National Safety day was first published in 1972.
- Bombay Public Trust Act of 1950 assigned the National Safety Council as a “Public Trust” in the year 2000.
