Meghan Markle Declined (rejected) “Suits” Reunion at Golden Globes

Meghan Markle, the Duchess (the Wife) of Sussex, reportedly turned down the opportunity to reunite with her “Suits” co-stars at the Golden Globes. The former “Suits” cast members, including Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres, made a special appearance at the awards ceremony.

Reunion Invitation Declined

Despite the invitation to join her former colleagues on stage to present the award for Best TV Drama, Markle was unavailable due to a prior commitment. A Golden Globes insider stated, “We requested the duchess (the Wife), however, we have been informed that, unfortunately, she had a preceding commitment.”

Awkward Moment at the Golden Globes

Host Jo Koy made a cheeky dig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, highlighting their lucrative (economical) deal with Netflix. The comment humorously (playfully) noted that the royal couple would still earn millions from Netflix despite not actively working. The “Suits” cast, minus Markle, appeared on stage following this remark.

The “Suits” stars came together for an on-air reunion at the Golden Globes, sans Meghan Markle. The moment followed a series of jokes about Netflix’s “The Crown” and the royal family’s portrayal.

Cast’s Excitement and Markle’s Inclusion

Gina Torres, one of the “Suits” stars, shared the excitement within the cast’s text group about the show’s resurgence on Netflix. Torres cited that Markle, who performed Rachel Zane at the display from 2011 to 2018, isn’t always a part of their textual content group.

Meghan Markle’s Connection with Co-Stars

While it was revealed that Meghan Markle does not share a group text with all the “Suits” stars, it is noted that she is believed to be still friendly with some of her co-stars, especially Sarah Rafferty and Patrick J. Adams.

Past Connections and Netflix Success

Markle famously invited her “Suits” co-stars to her royal wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, showcasing the close bond they shared. Despite the limited invitations to the evening party, her co-stars celebrated the event. The recent resurgence (Revival Style) of “Suits” on Netflix has brought joy to the cast, and Patrick J. Adams even hinted at a potential “Suits” spin-off set in Los Angeles.

Meghan Markle’s decision to decline the “Suits” reunion at the Golden Globes adds another chapter to the ongoing narrative of her post-royal life. While the cast came together for a nostalgic moment, Markle’s absence did not go unnoticed, sparking curiosity about her current engagements and connections with former co-stars.
