Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG: Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the Swift CNG on September 12. The petrol variant of the Swift was introduced earlier this year in May. Maruti is preparing to bring the new generation Swift introduced in the hatchback segment with CNG. According to media reports, the company may launch it on September 12.
Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG : What’s new?
Like all other CNG models from Maruti Suzuki, the Swift CNG will not have any exterior design upgrades. It will look exactly like the petrol-only model. Also, it will continue to use the same Z12E engine, a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine.
This engine, which is currently in the petrol variant of the new Swift, generates 82 bhp of power and 112 Nm of torque. However, these figures will be slightly lower in the CNG variant.
This is a very characteristic feature of vehicles with CNG powertrain. This will also lead to higher fuel consumption. The engine will be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and can also be given an AMT transmission
Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG Features
The same features given by Maruti in the new generation Swift will also be given in the CNG variant. It will also have ABS, EBD as standard along with six airbags. Apart from this, features like wireless Apple Car Play, Android Auto, 17.78 cm infotainment system, digital AC will be given in it.
When will it be launched?
The company has not given any official information regarding the launch of Swift CNG. But according to media reports, it can be launched on September 12 (Maruti Swift CNG Launch date).
Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG : Prices
Given the price difference between ICE and CNG models in Maruti Suzuki’s lineup, Swift CNG can be priced between Rs 80,000 and Rs 90,000. Swift ICE variants are priced from Rs 8.34 lakh to Rs 13.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Swift CNG will compete with Grand i10 Nios CNG and Tiago CNG. Currently, Tata Motors is offering a discount of Rs 15,000 on Tiago CNG.
