Mahindra Thar ROXX: Launch on August 15, 5-door New Look Revealed Here

The Mahindra Thar 5-door will be called the Mahindra Thar ROXX. Yes, that's the name and it will launch on August 15, just like the current generation Thar debuted on the same date four years ago. Along with the name, the company has also released a teaser video, which gives a fair glimpse of the Mahindra Thar Rocks. With two doors and increased length and wheelbase, the Thar Rocks also gets subtle updates in the design, including new circular headlights and a new grille. But there is no doubt that the new Mahindra SUV belongs to the 'Thar' family.

Mahindra Thar ROXX: Exterior design changes detailed

To give the Mahindra Thar ROXX its own identity over the three-door model, the SUV brand has made some design changes to it. The first thing that catches your eye is the new body-coloured slatted grille, which makes the front-end look even more menacing. Another upgrade is the new LED headlights that feature C-motif LED DRLs. The bumpers now feature a silver finish as opposed to the all-black bumpers of the Thar 3-door.

In profile, what immediately catches your eye is the new 18-inch dual-tone alloys that give this off-roader a premium look. Obviously, the biggest update here is the longer wheelbase and two additional doors to access the rear seats. Thar enthusiasts will also notice that the rear wheel arches are square as opposed to the rounded wheel arches of the Thar 3-door.

At the rear, the Mahindra Thar ROXX features new LED tail lamps with an inverted C-motif. Also, previous spy pictures have indicated that it will get a new spare wheel cover as well.

Mahindra Thar ROXX: Powertrain

This upcoming offroad model is in 3 Dora Gen. Also, a RWD of this car will be given in different variants in which a small 1.5 liter diesel engine will be given. On the other hand, talking about its top model, the car has 2.2 liter diesel and 2.0 turbo turbo petrol engines given below. Both 4x4 2.0 petrol and 2.2 liter diesel will be available. At the same time, this car has been prepared on the platform of Mahindra Scorpio N.

Mahindra Thar ROXX: Price

The price will tell you that Mahindra has not shared any information about the price of this upcoming offroad scooter. But it will be launched on August 15 and its stock can also be picked up from the company on the same day. Also, it is believed that the price of this car is going to be the highest from Mahindra Scorpio N (Mahindra Scorpio N).
