Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the country’s leading automakers, today announced that its popular SUV, the Bolero, has crossed the 1 lakh mark in sales, achieving a significant milestone for the car. Since the car’s initial launch in 2000, the company has sold over 14 lakh units of the SUV in the country.

The Mahindra Bolero is still a popular option and consistently ranks among the top-selling SUVs despite its age. Its rugged construction, all-metal body, and go-anywhere appeal have contributed to its popularity, particularly in India’s semi-urban and rural areas, where it enjoys high popularity. It is simple to service, has affordable spare parts readily available, and requires relatively little money to maintain.

Bolero Neo Was Launched To Target Urban Customers
The Bolero Neo was launched by the company with a contemporary design and a boxy structure to target tier-1 and urban areas. The Mahindra Bolero’s frequent updates over the past two decades have also played a significant role in its inclusion among India’s top-selling SUVs.
“The Bolero Neo launched in July 2021 has successfully extended the Bolero SUV brand to the new customer segments in tier 1 and urban markets,” Nakra added.
Bolero Neo drives sales in FY23
According to the company, the Bolero Neo was the driving force behind the 1 lakh sales milestone in FY23. The company claims that the SUV has been successful in expanding its customer base and entering new markets.
- The Bolero Neo has been one of the most famous vehicles from the organization for quite a while and has arisen as the most noteworthy selling vehicle from the organization over the most recent couple of months, beating any semblance of Scorpio and the XUV700.
- The company has said that the Bolero is used by private individuals and relied on by various government and law enforcement agencies in the country.

Mahindra Bolero features
The 7-seater Mahindra Bolero is sold in two models, the Classic and Neo. Both models offer a manual transmission. The Classic Bolero is powered by a 1.5-liter mHawk75 diesel engine that produces 75 bhp of power and 210 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Bolero Neo features a mHawk100 engine that produces 100 bhp of power and 260 Nm of peak torque.
Mahindra Price Hike
Mahindra recently announced a price hike, increasing the price of the classic Bolero and Bolero Neo by up to ₹31,000. While the Bolero is priced starting at ₹9.78 lakhs, the Bolero Neo starts at ₹9.63 lakh.
