LPG Cylinder: Today, the central government has cut the prices of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 200. The government has given these benefits to the women of the country before the festival of Rakshabandhan.
Along with this, the government has also given a discount of Rs 200 on LPG cylinders available under the Ujjwala scheme. Earlier, oil companies had cut the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 100.

Earlier on August 1, the country's oil companies had reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 100, although there was no change in the prices of domestic LPG gas cylinders at that time.
Govt to provide new LPG connections to 75 Lakh Families
With this, now the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will get a total gas subsidy of Rs 400. They are already getting a subsidy of Rs 200. Besides, the government will provide new LPG connections to 75 lakh families under the Ujjwala scheme, Thakur said. With this, the number of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will be 10.35 crore.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that this decision of the government will greatly benefit 33 crore families of the country. After this decision, the cost of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in the capital Delhi will be Rs 903 from Wednesday, which is currently Rs 1,103.
