Lockdown 4.0- Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan Is The Goal Said PM Modi While Addressing The Nation

New Delhi: PM Modi, to his address to the nation, has confirmed that lockdown is not going to end after 17 May. The Lockdown 4.0 will begin after the end of the third phase of lockdown i.e. from 18 May.

PM Modi said the lockdown 4.0 will be new with new guidelines which will soon be announced before the end of lockdown 3.0. In his address to the nation on Tuesday, he announced a special economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore as well.

This package will be utilized to make the country self-reliant. He said, “the package will play an important role in the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.” The package is 10 percent of the total GDP of the country. The package is announced to put a special focus on land and labour and everyone who contributes to the growth of the country.

Furthermore, he said, “ humanity would not accept defeat from the coronavirus.” PM Modi also talked about the present conditions of the world fighting with coronavirus.

There are more than 42 lakh people who are infected and 2.75 lakh people died due to the covid-19 around the globe. He also expressed condolences to them.

On Monday, PM had discussed with all states CMs through a video conferencing on the upcoming measures for the lockdown 4.0. He said that there is a need to lower down the transmission rate whilst increasing public activity. But public activities will be started keeping all the guidelines in mind.

The two main points in his address to the nation were economic package for the country and need to be self-reliant.
