Karwa Chauth is considered a big festival for married women. On this day, women keep a Nirjala fast and worship in the evening and then break their fast after the moon rises at night. According to the Panchang, every year this fast is kept on the Chaturthi of Kartik Krishna Paksha from sunrise to moonrise. The fast begins with Sargi in the morning. Karwa Chauth Puja Vidhi
- On the day of the Karwa Chauth fast, get up before sunrise in the morning and take Sargi.
- Only after this, take a bath and take a pledge of Nirjala fast.
- Then do not eat or drink anything the whole day.
- Before the evening worship, fasting women should take a bath again and wear beautiful clothes.
- It is said that Karwa Chauth puja should be done by doing sixteen adornments.
- During the puja, draw a picture of Karwa Chauth Puja on the wall or put a calendar bought from the market on the wall.
- Then install all the gods and goddesses on the earthen altar and keep 10 to 13 Karwa on them.
- Put 21 wicks in the Karwa and keep puffed rice, batasha, churan and whole grains inside it.
- Light the lamp placed on top of the Karwa. Then keep Puri, sweet halwa, kheer and other dishes near it.
- At the time of worship, also keep water in a pot. After the puja, Arghya is offered to the moon with this water.
- Then worship with incense, lamp, sandalwood, roli, sindoor etc. Keep in mind that at the time of worship, there should be sufficient amount of ghee in the lamp so that it keeps burning for a long time.

- In the worship of Karwa Chauth, mainly rice flour prasad is made. While breaking the fast, women eat this prasad first after water.
